The Roger Baker Veterinary Practice provides a high standard of veterinary care for all the usual family pets; dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, birds and many other breeds of animal. Our patients are not just family pets; they are part of our clients’ family. Whether within our waiting, consultation or preparation rooms, the sterile operating theatre, isolation unit, laboratory facilities, kennels or enclosed garden, we take every care possible. Experienced nursing staff and caring support staff provide the care and attention that we would expect for our own pets.
To ensure the smooth running of the practice and therefore the welfare of our patients, all consultations are by appointment. All consultations are with a qualified veterinary surgeon and all patients are seen by a veterinary surgeon on admission and when discharged from our care. Our experienced practice night staff are on hand, when required, to care for overnight patients following surgery or intensive care. A full Out of Hours Emergency Service from 6pm through to 8am.on weekdays and from noon on Saturdays to 8am on Monday is available from Vets Now in Canterbury.
Initial visits with your pets can be a bit of a shock and often very traumatic for both you and the patient. Therefore we have designed pet care packages for puppies and kittens ensuring all is done properly at the required time and also so that the cost can be spread over equal instalments. We like to see every patient at least twice a year so that we can ensure provision of proper safe and effective parasite control all year round and the correct vaccinations when they are needed. The essence of our policy is that the well being of pets is achieved by a partnership between owners and our veterinary practice. We expect our clients to provide the home facilities that we would provide for our own pets and in return we aim to be a veterinary practice of high standard working in partnership with our clients.
